Once you install the update, it will upgrade the device to MIUI 9.0.1.0 from 8.5.9.0.The update comes with new redesigned homepage, split screen shortcut, improved battery performance.It also has performance and stability improvements.It is a major update not an incremental one and weighs 536MB. The MIUI 9.0.1.0 update was already rolled out, and users started receiving the update via OTA (Over-the-Air). You can wait for the OTA pop-up, or you can update Mi Max 2 to MIUI 9.0.1.0 manually. To check for the update, go to Settings –> About Phone –> System updates –> Check for update.
