Currently, there only 500 beta testers can become log users, while the 1500 testers will be without log users. The last date of this recruitment process was December 6, 2019. Your Mate X handset should be running on 9.1.1.130 version or above.

The best part is that in January 2020, the company has started rolling out the EMUI 10 beta update publicly for the early adopters in China via OTA in batches and will take some time to arrive as well.
