A few days ago the Chinese variant of the device received the Android 10 update and now the Global variant is also getting the update. This is a major update. It brings all the Android 10 features to the device, along with that it also promises to improve the stability and performance of the device. The update also brings many bug fixes. The update is currently rolling out as an OTA update and if you are on the Global stable ROM, then you may have already received the OTA update notification on your device.
Check OTA Updates
If your device is not rooted, then your device may have received the update. You can manually check whether the update is available in your region or not. Go to the Settings –> About Phone –> Check for Software Update. The update will be available across the globe but as it is being rolled out in a phased manner, it may take some time to be available in every region, but if you want you can manually install the latest MIUI update on your device
