Galaxy S21 new update brings in security improvements and bug fixes
Samsung’s December 2021 Security Patch will bring in fixes for five critical, 22 high, and 3 moderate CVEs from Google. Among Google’s new CVEs fixes, Samsung has managed to patch up an issue with the previous security release while three of them aren’t applicable to Galaxy devices. Apart from the CVE fixes from Google, Samsung has also brought in 18 SVE items for improving customers’ confidence in the security of Samsung Mobile devices. Galaxy S21 users can identify the December 2021 security patch update through PDA version numbers – G998BXXS3BUL1, G996BXXS3BUL1, and G991BXXS3BUL1 for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy S21 respectively.
